Fabrication of wear-resistant cast parts has begun as early as
1910. At that time, a company called +GF+ Georg Fischer in Schaffhausen
was one of the leading and most innovative foundries in Europe.
It was a period in which many new casting processes and techniques
were developed, some of which are still applied in our days. In
December 1992, a division disconnected itself from the company
in order to become independent under the name of Georg Fischer
Verschleisstechnik AG, and was renamed VTS Verschleisstechnik Schaffhausen
AG in February 1997. Owners are two parent companies;
Today the company’s main focus is on the wearing parts trade
for the rock and soil industry.
Its broad and comprehensive knowledge of the majority of crusher
types makes VTS a highly competent provider of the industry’s
products, endowing it with a strong presence not only in Europe,
but also in all the Middle East countries.
Not very long ago, the company has extended its traditional field
of activity to take on products for the recycling industry. Processing
of materials such as concrete, electronic scrap, stoneware, glass
scrap, etc. requires the use of wearing parts capable of resisting
such specific stress which can be considerable.
VTS offers its customers extremely reliable consultancy services
that are provided by highly qualified, specialized and experienced
staff. Profitability of clients’ resources can only be ensured
by the most appropriate use of wearing parts.
The ever shifting market situation and changes in the processed
products are generating a rising demand in solutions tailored to
customers’ needs. Some product developments or innovations
may involve the shape of the wearing parts, while others have an
impact on their composition, e.g. steel alloys. In this area, VTS
is being supported by both its parent companies as well as some
selected suppliers. Composites are specially needed for the demanding
recycling business. Thanks to the high quality level of its products
and the broad range it offers, VTS is able to meet almost any requirement.
Machine manufacturers will also benefit from a partnership with
VTS, a competent service provider and consultant. Shaping and alloying
of wearing parts are very complex procedures that require extensive
experience in the field.
The parts business is an activity where the choice of qualified
partner firms is of utmost importance. VTS has built up relationships
with companies that are able to meet its high quality standards.
Price erosion is not only brought about by users and competitors,
but also a result of worldwide trade of cheap articles. This is
why VTS has always focused on the permanently flawless quality of
its products.
Operating efficiency of wearing parts is calculated on the basis
of their durability: the better the quality, the longer the operating
time until parts have to be replaced. This in turn leads to a reduction
of machine downtimes and enhances productivity
European customers will benefit particularly from the company’s
central location in Schaffhausen, for its proximity to the border
enables VTS to carry out customs clearance itself. Therefore, VTS
is a perfectly EU compatible Swiss company with a strong position
on the market. |
